Definitely one of my favorite go-to's for fast later night comfort food.

Pastrami sandwich is good. Especially tied up with a side of colossal onion rings with ranch, a huge helping of fried zucchini with ranch or maybe some chili cheese fries. You simply can't go wrong! Double bacon cheese burger, a must! I dig the all you can drink self serve soda fountain.

Burritos, I'd have to say, this is a burger joint not a Mexican restaurant so take your chances and don't complain.

Clean comfortable booths, ample parking, drive-thru, clean restrooms and attentive staff make it an all around fav for sure!

To me, Downtown Long Beach is an unusual area. Beachy, businessy, civic center, playground. It often seems a bit desolate in early hours. But Saturday, there was a lively crowd with the joyous library opening celebration. So high spirited, in fact, that I was unaware of being in the lead of a protest march. (They unexpectedly turned a corner and followed us). I donno why.

After a day of varied activities, we needed a totally simple dinner. We haven't been to Louis Burgers for a while. It seemed to be a soothing place to end a busy day. It is possible to dig into a gooey, dripping burger somewhat phlegmatic, relatively detached from the surroundings. Mostly busy at any time that we've been here, but high volume allows grabbing a comfortable booth possible. They are generous with napkin supply. Staff is efficient, with minimal interaction. It is always very clean. Aside for once experiencing a unpleasant incident, the food is reliable. Portions are large, families seem happy. Kids are pretty well behaved. Perhaps the hellions gravitate to the nearby Chuck E. Cheese. (I ponder, a slogan for them, Chuck E. Cheese. Come in. Get a disease).

Louis lll is near my neighborhood church. I like to eat there after church. It a has such a variety of items on the menu. For  breakfast Louis lll has bacon & eggs, breakfast burritos, pancakes and coffee.

On Sunday afternoon, I had a delicious  Mushroom burger.  It was humongous. It had lots of mushrooms an grilled onions along with a large slice of tomato, shredded letttuce and slice of red onion with salad dressing.

The order of cripsy fries was so large that I shared it with my friend. He had a cheese burger instead of his usual 1/4 Ib burger. He said it was the perfect size because he wasn't  very hungry.

I am not a fan of their fountain drinks because a small cost $2.00. My friend and I usually ask for ice water so we can purchase an order of fries instead of sodas.

I wish they offered  a burger combo. Ordering each item a la carte is very expensive for Senior Citizens like me and my friend. If Louis lll had a Senior Citizen combo like a regular burger,1/2 order of fries and a Senior sized soda for $5.90. I would go there 3 times a week instead of just 2x a month.

It is clean & family friendly. They have a great counter and staff. The place has a great ambience. I highly recommend this place to my family and friends.

We hit up this place after a show at Alex's Bar since it is open until 2am. The burger I had was ok. The chilli cheese fries come in a huge portion and are delicious.  The fries are seasoned and crispy and the chili was quite flavorful. Now we know what place we will hit up next time late night after a punk show.

I've come here late at night when im hungry and I don't want to get out of my car for food. If you're from Long Beach, youll know there isnt much super late night spots open in downtown apart from your typical fast food joints. This restaurant stands out not only for it's vast menu but it's amazing closing time which serves so of us hungry nightowls.

What's good here? The burgers and the tacos! I had both and I can't tell you that the burgers are beyond exceptional! Grilled to perfection! The fries are also decent so get them together. Now the tacos, while pretty expensive are one of a kind. The meat is savory and the taco size is huge!

If you come during the weekend you might find yourself in a long line. The food is worth it. The people that work here are also really fast with orders. Good spot for the cravings.
